What is Built Phoenix Strong?
Built Phoenix Strong is a personal training system that delivers visible and sustainable results for all of our clients in health and fitness. We have served over 500+ former athletes to get back into shape and become lean & healthy. This is done by instilling our three main Pillars of Health: Fitness, Nutrition, and Accountability. Instilling these 3 principles into each of our clients allows them to get the visible change that they have been looking for, but more importantly allows them to keep their results long term. Far too often individuals are able to get results but due to a lack in one of the 3 pillars their results are not permanent, and they end up starting all over again later. This yo-yo effect frustrates people all over the world and The Built Phoenix Strong Method solves this problem for good.
Who Does Built Phoenix Strong Train?
We train former athletes and other individuals that struggle to achieve RESULTS in their health. The reason why is because for many of us when we played sports our coaches provided us with our workouts, they guided us in nutrition, and they hold us accountable. But once an athlete is done playing sports (whether it’s high-school, college, or professional) they are stuck trying to figure out how to stay in shape on their own. And the reason why is because many athletes are only told what to do, but never HOW to do it. Built Phoenix Strong takes in these former athletes and over the course of 90 days they not only achieve visible changes but they understand how to keep their results forever and get even more! Built Phoenix Strong is for anyone that is truly struggling to get the change in their health and fitness that they desire. Because once our 3 pillars are taught to the client, the results will follow. And there is a little bit of athlete in each and every one of us. It just takes the right coach to bring it out.

Meet Our Founder
Coach Placid has served over 500 former athletes across 32 states and 3 countries. He is a former All-American Football player. He received a degree in Health and Exercise Science from Lenoir Rhyne University. He is also a Division 1 National Championship football coach.
How it all began.. After winning 3 Collegiate Football championships as a college football player, Coach Placid went on to coach at James Madison University. In his very first year coaching he went undefeated and knocked off 5x National Champion North Dakota State on the way to winning a National Championship. During his tenure at James Madison University he noticed that a majority of the former athletes who visited the university to watch games were overweight and out of shape.
He then discovered that athletes have everything provided for them during their playing career but upon graduation they are left standing alone. Upon several months of research he concluded that 87% of former athletes are overweight or out of shape within 5-10 years after playing. And the reason being nobody actually teaches these athletes how to workout, or how to eat, or holds them accountable. He then designed “The Athlete Resurrection Plan” and deployed it to athletes all over the world and the results were drastic. Clients were losing an average of 20-40 lbs and 8% body fat across the board, regardless of gender, age, location, and various other factors.
The process was then documented into what is now known as “The Phoenix Method” and is taught to former athletes all across the world to get them lean, healthy, in shape, and comfortable with their bodies again. Since then Placid has been on a mission to combine his gift for coaching and fitness in an attempt to change the lives of 100K former athletes across the world.

We strongly believe that if you resurrect your health, then you resurrect your life. Because no matter what your favorite things in life to do are, health is going to be directly tied into those things. Whether it’s going to the beach and looking good in a bathing suit, having the proper energy to devote to work in order to produce maximum income for your family, or living a long healthy life. It all starts with our 3 pillars of health: fitness, nutrition, and accountability.
As someone who once struggled with their own health, Coach Placid wants to make sure the path is clear for all others so they do not have to struggle like he once did. There is so much information out there about getting in shape that it can become very confusing when trying to figure it out on your own. So, the Phoenix Method sets out to simplify this journey into 3 key steps and build the roadmap for you. We don’t want clients to struggle, we want clients to succeed and that is the end result of the “Built Phoenix Strong Experience”.
